The main reason I bought this CD player (and not necessarily why anyone else would buy it) is for backup audio for video lessons, for that I made audio/video . The reason I had to return it was because the volume doesn't go all the way down. If the volume is set to 0, you can still hear the playback. I can't play it at the same time as the video because the participants can hear it. It doesn't even have an audio-out jack to plug my headphones into, which would solve the problem. I would recommend either adding an audio output jack or completely muting the sound when the volume is 0. Again, this is not a common use for a CD player. So if you only use it for listening to CDs then this is probably a good budget option as it has pretty good clarity and volume.
