The product corresponds exactly to the picture. It's just the right thickness to be strong but not too warm. I was really concerned about two things when I bought this, to protect my very fine, dry hair. Neither was a problem.1. It will come down. I drive almost non-stop in my sleep. I push the pillows away, grab them back. That's why my hair was never very long I guess. I only damaged it badly because of the way I sleep. It has only come loose on its own once in the 5 nights I've worn it so far. I've found that by tucking the elastic behind the ears, the top of the forehead is more comfortable and doesn't fall over the eyes. Otherwise, the rear end rises and the front end sinks into my face. It is tucked away very conveniently and the rest of the night is perfect. The bow doesn't really bother me either. Most nights I pushed it aside to avoid feeling it around my neck. 2. It would be too hot. Silk is breathable, so I might not find it uncomfortable. I sleep very soundly. Sometimes in the summer I take off all the blankets so as not to overheat in them. It wasn't a problem on any of the nights I wore it, and I live in the desert of the Southwest US. It is very hot here. Every morning my hair is a lot less tangled. Now it's not very long, just over the shoulder. I've had to trim a lot of damaged hair recently and now I'm taking many steps to fix my curls. So beautiful in the morning, just a little confused now. I expect the small tangles will go away when it gets long enough to be worn a little more securely but still be able to be kept free. Most of my hair is silky when I get up. It hardly harms my pony. I can go a day without styling or washing which I didn't expect. I think this is just what I need to finally grow hair again! I'll try to go back and edit for long-term use when I can. I recommend 10/10.
