I bought this as a gift for a friend who had been limping along with a broken paddle for like a year. She was so happy with it, she left it for me to try out myself. It's GREAT! Very lightweight compared to the metal bar that came with my kayak as a set, and a smooth comfortable finish of carbon fiber where you grab on. I normally feel a blister coming on after an hour of paddling, but not with this one at all. Plus -- it's perfect length. I'm going to order one now for myself!
