Review on APEC Water Systems CS 2500P Filtration by Dewitt Graham

Tasteless water, that's what I wanted

So I read the reviews on this before using it, but it fits exactly what I wanted: built-in filter from - for the cold in my faucet . If you think about it, you need this device because 1> you can't or don't want to install a separate faucet with a filter 2> you're tired of standing by the fridge for filtered water 3> you don't need a whole house filtration. This is a 4 month recap and I just changed my first filter. Install first, if you have basic plumbing skills you can easily install this. Very simple, apart from a pair of keys nothing had to be bought. Second, the quality of the water: perfect. Nothing to taste. Third, the water consumption: it's a bit lower than on the hot side, but I don't talk much. At 4 months it was still fine. Fourth Filter Life: It's been about 3.5 months since I started noticing a taste that disappointed me a bit. Until I really started thinking about our water consumption, and yes, we cook and clean daily and probably use, no kidding, 2 gallons of clean drinking water a day. Which doesn't include the flush and run you do for transient and other things that double so easily. If you stick this into the cold water line for the kitchen sink, it will drain quickly. My wife and I did a blind taste test to change the filter (science!) and we both agreed (and secretly wrote down the answers) that the filter from a past life is gone. Honestly, think coffee, iced tea, water, cooking etc everything we do is a bargain. and no longer standing by the fridge waiting for everything to be refilled.

Pros
  • Undersink and countertop filter
Cons
  • Ugly packaging
