The light itself is very bright. I bought two - one for each side of my kitchen under the cabinets. My problem is with adhesive mounts. I stuck a piece of double sided tape under the cabinet due to the texture of the surface and the lamp still fell between the two tapes. Now I've used superglue between two adhesive surfaces and so far it's holding up. The lamps are still detachable from the magnetic base and I only use them in the kitchen. The low setting lasts a couple of nights. Charging a discharged battery takes some time. High settings are really bright. ****UPDATE****UPDATE**** I cranked this star up as I'm really impressed with them now that I'm using them more often - every day and night in fact. I live in a high-rise building for seniors and the kitchen is in the hallway near the center. This improves visibility a bit and they make great night lights in the darkest setting. CURRENTLY! This block that has been refusing to go to bed for a week. Stick another piece of double sided tape on top of the other double sided tape and secure with super glue. Just a guess, but I think the base adhesive pad is only a few millimeters under the body and that's what caused the problem. Definitely a great product and worth the money.
