The bathrobe is very cozy. It's not very thick, but more like a soft fabric (which means there are spots you can see through if you bring the fabric to your eyes...but no one can see through when you wear it). It's soft and snuggly, yet lighter. I usually order the bathrobe in size XL, but I got the size L and it fits me perfectly. Someone else posted a review saying they are 5ft 9in and 158 and that size L is too small for them. Well I'm also 5'9 and 20lbs heavier than the other reviewer and I think the L is fine. I think it depends how you want to drop it. It may run small if you want a loose, roomy look or want to wear it over other bulky clothing like a sweater. But if you're looking for a robe that fits without hugging every curve, then this robe is for you. I wouldn't go any bigger. Verdict: A cozy and screened robe that's as warm as a bodysuit sweater and big enough if you want to wear it over a nightgown or light pajamas. If you want it to be more like a coat to wear over other layers then the sizing isn't for you.
