Well packaged. A nice article. I have to season it, but I made it in about 6 minutes. Seasoning instructions on the box. The ratio of the contact area of the base of the ram and the area of the cavity for the mortar is good. Various YouTube videos demonstrate that this ratio is an important feature, ie if the contact area of the pestle bottom is too small compared to the mortar hole then grinding becomes more difficult. Either way, I'll be using the device for a while before making any further decisions, but it seems like a very reliable kitchen tool. Very happy at the moment.
