Review on πŸ“ Lufkin Crescent Wood Rule 966N by Carlos Reyes

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Not the same as the old 966 Lufkins

This new version of 966, left to right, red tip, foldable ruler, readable inside, very cheap construction with loose connections, inferior paintwork and markings and in folded position 1/2" longer and 1/2" wider than the old ones (very uncomfortable compared to the old ones). The new brass connections are flimsy, but difficult to open even after greasing, and don't run very smoothly. Assembled in Mexico, mostly from cheap imported junk and apparently with a small percentage of US made components. I will leave these 2 but I will look elsewhere for quality rulers.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not sure
