I never thought one of these would make my life so much easier. It looks the same as in the picture. The material feels rubbery and is very durable. I use it to measure my waist, hips, chest, etc. when shopping online. Buying clothes online just got a lot easier. I also use it to measure the space in my room before buying furniture. Let's just say I never have to wonder if something fits or not (furniture and clothes). I hold most of it together with an elastic band when I use it so it doesn't get too messy when trying to control the entire band. Hope that helps :)
