Review on WD 3TB Blue My Passport Ultra External Hard Drive - USB 3.0 - WDBBKD0030BBL-NESN by David Mills

Long story short I bought 3 of these, 2 broke in less than 10 months! -- I've bought 3 others since I got this one, and the hard truth is that it's ALREADY failing (I'm in a hurry to do all my backups before it actually dies completely). I'm a filmmaker/photographer so I bought one color for photography, one color for personal film projects, one for my clients and one for my editor. The first one fails (strange noise, doesn't appear on the desktop, ejects itself, takes time to download files) and the second one doesn't show good signs (I can hear the drive making a hard noise). So I'm worried about the other two. Each time I've bought them with extra protection and they've always been in a case. Yes, I use them a lot with Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere, etc projects, but the fact that one crashes and the other makes weird noises is really starting to amaze (and excite) me.* Plus a data recovery plan, I received with it is not responding to my emails.
