Review on πŸ’‘ TANBABY Garage Light LED: Powerful 60W Deformable Ceiling Shop Light for Optimal Garage Lighting by Alex Montgomery

Great idea - doesn't work and the quality is the WORST I've seen in years

I was pleased with the concept of this product and the ease of installation promised. I have read the instructions. "Just screw it into your chosen mount/socket like a lightbulb." I did this carefully not to over-tighten or over-tighten. it did not work. So I went back to the user manual and it said the "motion detection sensor" might not have been set to enough sensitivity if it wasn't working. went up the stairs to check the motion sensor button but saw nothing. Decided to unscrew it from the fixture and see if it is straight etc. HOWEVER when I did that the metal part/lamp connector stayed in the socket and the rest of the fixture fell out. Then I noticed that the positive/red wire was also disconnected and frayed. I was concerned that since this was factory fitted I wouldn't be able to just disconnect the wires and reconnect the negative positive wires. I still think the light would still work if I removed the metal piece stuck in my light fixture. What I found was that the wires weren't connected at all, the plastic connector cap was just hanging loosely on the other wire. Ceiling. This meant I had to turn off the power at the switch and use something to turn it off. At first I tried to gently twist it with my hands, but that just cut my fingers. I then took a small pair of pliers to try to unscrew it without damaging the metal. Instead, the metal continued to flake off in pieces, falling in my eyes and onto the floor. It took a good 30 minutes to remove my original ceiling outlet without damaging it and the result was a completely unusable part. It would be great if: A. this product was made at least "c” quality and B. this product works. Not to mention the money as I may now need to replace the light fixture in the ceiling which would require re-wiring etc.
