We went camping and needed an inverter to run a CPAP boat battery for a few days. We liked the ability to use this inverter from the cigarette lighter or connect it to the battery. Previously we used a friend's inverter and a battery setup. The fan of this inverter was very noisy when running. We had to place it outside the tent with an extension cord. BUT this inverter was very quiet compared to its operation. The fan spins more under load, but is reasonably quiet. Three days later, we learned that charging multiple cell phones at the same time with the CPAP on uses a lot of battery power. We woke up around 2am to an alarm from a low power inverter. The low battery alert stopped when we turned off these cell phones. We've only had to use CPAP and other means to charge those power-hungry phones for the last few nights.
