Review on πŸ“Έ Enhanced Duplex Mobile Scanner: Visioneer RoadWarrior 4D by Scott Rose

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Great scanner, terrible software

The scanner itself is fine. It has good image quality, is fairly fast, quiet, compact and beautiful. But after two years, I can only feed paper properly 75% of the time. The rest of the time it goes wrong and the sides of the paper are not scanned. The software is a disaster. where to start I guess we'll start with a reboot because every time you want to use the scanner you have to plug it in, put the paper in, take out the paper, unplug the scanner, plug it back in, then you're done. How about settings. Edge trimming, blemish removal, automatic conversion, edge cleaning. none of these things have an explanation. You're on your own to get the most out of this scanner. It took me a year to figure out why my scanner was so noisy because I had "MoirΓ© Pattern Reduction" enabled. Then there were disruptions. Your scanner is not recognized. You need to go into device manager and reinstall. You must restart your computer. You must reinstall the software. Oh, sometimes everything seems to be going well, but it's not. The scanned image is flipped like a mirror. Or the top of the picture is in the front and the bottom is in the back. randomly halved. I honestly love it because it makes me laugh when I would otherwise cry. The maximum length is 32 inches (software is limited - why?), and the maximum width is slightly larger than standard printer paper. They will not scan your bank statements. "I'm sure I can think of many more things to complain about, but that's the gist. If you want something simple and functional, spend the extra $50. If you're an IT pro then this scanner is for you."

Pros

Cons
