I use them for different purposes. First, on my pedalboard, getting the right lengths of cable and the right ends in the right places can be surprisingly frustrating (unless you make your own cables, of course). I have found that they help me avoid buying a very expensive 1 foot cable just because it has a jack and no plug. run behind the PA monitor speakers. I have a TON of 15ft and 25ft speakers, I just snap them together and they work great for getting the distance I need. I didn't notice any deterioration in the sound. For the price this is a good set of very useful connectors.
