My flap seal was starting to leak, but it was so slow that I wasn't sure what the problem was. At first I just replaced the shutter and it worked for about 2 weeks, after that the same problem. I ended up with a bad gasket under the shock, not the shock itself. I bought this kit which has everything you need. I was worried how I could get this bad seal. I tried to just pull it out with my fingers and it popped right out. I then dried the area overnight and then installed this kit. Make sure you read the directions, even though it looks easy, it needs to be pointed in a certain direction to flush properly. My toilet flushes like new again and doesn't drip!
