Sharpie lettering doesn't stick!
I don't normally like to write bad reviews, but this tape was disappointing. I have previously bought 1" tape from another manufacturer and expected the same quality here. In this case, although the magnet is fine, the white surface on top seems to have some sort of plasticized coating that repels the marker that is used with it I write on it. Sharpie is either smudged or too dull to read well. Also, the writing surface isn't pure white like the other manufacturer's tape, it's more of a yellow color. If I hadn't already spent a couple of inches writing (and then realised if it didn't work), I would return it.
- Magnet withstands up to 12 pounds per linear foot in contact with flat, smooth black steel with no material between magnet and steel. The minimum recommended magnet length is 1 inch.
