I'd like to know which idiot came up with that hole in the lips. Why always "improve" something only to end up getting worse? I have bought sponges several times and they have never had a hole! This hole is new, so dish soap now spills out of the handle. At first I thought it was some kind of leak elsewhere caused by a squarepants not properly attached. I lost a whole bottle of 700ml dishwashing liquid! Please stick with solutions that work, this is not necessary as simply squeezing the sponge will result in a lot of strong detergent. The latter also acts as a seal to prevent slow unwanted leakage of the cleaning agent.
