I love this cutting board. attractive, strong, in the sense that the board does not move when cutting. There have been many complaints about this board. I had no problems. I apply the cream to the board once a week as recommended. And I don't let it soak in soapy water. Simply wash with soap and water and let dry. I don't know why there are so many complaints. But I know that wood will crack if not cared for properly. NO soaking in soapy water, NO exposure to harsh detergents, and anything with a high acid content (juice, wine, tomatoes) can stain or crack. My advice if you like wooden cutting boards and this is a good choice. One, (take care of it.) This one isn't cheap, but I plan to run it for years and be beautiful on my countertop.
