This Apple Pencil holder, along with a textured screen protector and GoodNotes, has revolutionized the way I use my iPad. I teach my young children (preschool - 1st grade) at home. The case makes it a bit difficult to insert and side-load the pencil, but the benefits far outweigh this slight inconvenience, especially now that I use the pencil regularly. With the GoodNotes app, I download PDF lesson plans and then I can jot down my notes and interact with the text without having to print out and save all those pages together. My kids can also use Apple Pencils with this case to fill out PDF worksheets and notebooks. The case provides protection from falls from clumsy children and adds bulk to make writing easier for both small and adult hands. I ordered a small pen for my kids to use on their 1st gen Apple Pencil tablets but it compares to this pencil case is terrible so I put it on their Apple Pencil and albeit the yellow part the mine is slightly shorter. , it also makes the 1st generation Apple Pencil much more functional.
