Review on πŸ‘’ Timberland PRO Rigmaster Tumbled Waterproof by Roberto Manzer

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Started promising.

Updated 4/13/17. The waterproofing of the boot has broken due to tears on the sides of the boot near the toes. It doesn't seem possible to keep the boots dry and they are very uncomfortable now. In fact, there are also holes in the insole, making them even more uncomfortable. Not happy they lasted less than a year. The rubber piece on the front comes off leaving no other hole for water to drain through. Contacting Timberland for a warranty replacement. These are by far the best boots I have ever owned with one exception. The lining on the right tongue of the shoe seems to dig into my right ankle a bit. Maybe my old boots were so worn that I wasn't used to them yet, but a little more padding on the tongue and around the collar wouldn't hurt. I just swapped out my socks for something thicker until they wear a little better. I wear a size 14 so it's hard to find something that offers adequate protection without looking like a clown's boot or weighing a ton. I wear them for 8-10 hours for about a week walking on concrete and dirty floors, climbing on trucks and doing carpentry work while renovating my house. They've held up very well to the weather so far, although I'm hoping they won't get too warm when the Ohio weather takes a decision and gets hot. Time will tell if they last longer than the Keen pair they are replacing which took 6 months to complete before the heel had to be re-glued. So far they appear to be fairly waterproof and I haven't slipped on many of the obstacles (oil, wet floors, etc.) I've encountered with them. Best of all my feet don't hurt at the end of the day. Should have updated a while ago.

Pros
  • Nice
Cons
  • Good but not great
