While we're very happy with this Swann system, they're not letting you know that there are only 2 cameras video in the Cloud can save same time. You need to specify which 2 cameras you want to save video from DVR software to cloud. This is a limitation that Swann has placed on their product, Swann tech support told us when we asked them about it. To be clear, it records video from all four cameras on one DVR. However, if you believe, as we do, that the dashcam is an area that anyone who enters the property can access, there is always a chance that it will be damaged or stolen. Then the video is of course not available. If you want all 4 cameras to record video in the cloud, you can do it by buying two 2-camera DVRs. In fact, you can buy as many dual camera systems as you like and both cameras on each system are shared in the cloud. At least that's how they explained it to us. Another workaround is to let cameras that can't send video to the cloud take a picture when they detect motion. The DVR sends images from all cameras to the cloud at the same time, but as mentioned, only 2 cameras can send video. We currently have our system configured in this way. We haven't decided to send this system back or just live with it. The system is already installed and we're just not sure if we want to go through all the hassle of shutting everything down again. We hope that understanding this limitation will help you make the right purchasing decision. Update: We recently noticed that HISILICON is shown in HomeSafe View from every camera. This company is wholly owned by Huwei and is a banned company for US government suppliers. This is because in China, by law, they must conform to the wishes of the Chinese Communist Party. We hoped that by purchasing products through Swann, we could avoid such a potential Trojan horse scenario. As it's built around a fairly practical barn design we can keep the product but we were very disappointed to learn that Swann's product is no better than any other cheap system you can buy direct from a Chinese supplier. That's why we chose Swann in the first place. We are disappointed in your product.
