Back to the shoes. I started with

I decided to travel about 2 years ago. I was unaware of running trends at the time and figured that any running shoe would do. I had a pair of Asics Kayanos in my closet (bought for the color) and walked in them. I ran a half marathon with it. Then I started reading about running trends, switched to New Balance shoes (big mistake) and ruined my foot. plantar fasciitis. I spent a few months rebuilding, spending stupid money on custom inserts and putting on a pair of Mizuno shoes (which I really liked). Unfortunately, the next Mizuno model didn't fit me like shoe companies do, and my search began again. I tried the Brooks (and returned them). I had Hokas in my shopping cart and these Asics. In the end I decided to go back to the shoes I started with. I'm SO glad I did! I usually wear shoes in size 9.5, so I went for them up to size 10, they fit perfectly. I haven't used my own insoles to see how they feel and have found I don't need my insoles in these shoes. They don't evoke the flair of my PF at all. The toe is perfect too. Arch support is moderate and the shoe itself is lightweight. So I'm back at Asics and I'm hoping to stay with it.
