We bought this as our 9 year old's first boombox. We wanted easy to use. That's easy. Pull up to reveal the CD start and stop buttons. The radio is not the best option for tuning into a station. It doesn't have a visual dial to see what channel you're on, so scroll through the disc until you find a station that sounds good. Very easy to carry (requires 6 C batteries) or attach to the wall with a cable. Not a clock but good sound quality for my baby and his CDs.
