Review on πŸ”Œ Carter P4389: Finding Optimal Performance with In-Line Electric Fuel Pump by Jamil Fog

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Corrosion of the clamps, failure of the latch

The pump works perfectly, the clamps supplied do not tin and do not corrode in a few months. The case is not rusty so I don't know why this happened. Carter told me to just order new cables. Additional issues New cables arrived and I installed them with the included holder which didn't work. When the holder is installed, the wires are not connected. If you wiggle the connection it makes contact and the pump works fine, then the connection is lost and you have to wiggle the wires again. All connections are soldered, checked for integrity. If you do a Google search for it, you'll find several interested customers who have been told by Carter that their products are fine and that it was operator error. I don't think I need to modify the new part to make it work as intended. These will now be removed.
