I use this primarily on my small 15ft boat. I live in South Florida. This small speaker delivers powerful sound for its size and price. Also with 50 hp engine. I can still hear it right behind me through my Yamaha 4-stroke. We had a fire outside on New Year's Eve and I used this speaker. At 1/2 volume it was loud enough. The sound is crisp and clear at almost any volume except full. It's slightly distorted. In terms of bass, it's about what you'd expect from a small speaker. It's not very hard. My favorite feature is the micro SD card slot. I can download many of my favorite artists onto a 16GB micro SD card and don't have to drain my phone with Bluetooth. I enjoy streaming Pandora, but sometimes I lose cell signal on the boat. The micro SD card solves this problem and actually sounds better than Bluetooth. Finally, yesterday, after a day on the water, I accidentally left the speaker in my boat while I was hosing it down. I filled this speaker completely. Just this morning I discovered a still wet loudspeaker in my boat. I shook out the water and dried the outside. Then I went to work and let it dry for 6 hours. I didn't turn it on until I got home. I'm happy to say it still sounds great. I highly recommend this item. If I killed this item with my "bath" I would buy another one.
