So the description says 7 inches. light bulb. nope Pictured is a Philips Hue lamp. That's shorter than an incandescent bulb and without a dome - and sticks out about 1 inch. Hit the target of a point light when half of the light goes to the sides. If the spherical part of the shade was bigger - to accommodate normal lightbulbs, easily 5 stars. It almost exactly matches the copper color of Klipsch speaker cones. It's a bit lighter in color but I really liked the look. Unfortunately they are back and I feel a bit betrayed. Almost any bulb should fit in a fixture advertised as 7 inches. The overall height of the light is just under 6 inches, with the dome being raised at an angle of around 45 degrees. And the depth from the bottom of the socket to the edge of the lampshade is 3.25 inches. Good luck installing a "regular" lightbulb there. It should be an "appliance" style bulb or other compact LED. Otherwise you will be blinded by the light from all sides. Miserable.
