Realizing these alligator clips were for use with a battery tender I ordered them to carry in a solar panel briefcase connect my camper battery. The solar panel comes with the same quick connector. As one of those guys who checks all electrical connections before making any connections, I used a voltmeter to check the polarity of the alligator clips and found that the polarity was the opposite of the solar panel. I cut the wires just above the fuse and swapped them out with waterproof marine crimp connectors. This allowed the polarity to be matched to the solar panel. These alligator clips are well made and fit my needs well. Note, however, that if you are using these terminals for anything other than a battery tender, as I did, be sure to check polarity as there is no global standard for which pin on a two-pin quick connector is positive and which is one is positive. Negative. It happens that the Battery Tender uses one polarity, but the solar panel company uses the opposite polarity. Since the polarity issue I was experiencing was not a manufacturer defect, I gave the Battery Tender 081-0069-4 alligator clips five stars for overall quality.
