As far as mopping floors with a bath towel or paper towel, I think it falls somewhere in between. The bath towel is the only thing heavy and absorbent enough to really deep clean my floors until they are CLEAN. I'm not interested in cleaning up spills. I need floors to do yoga on and then crawl into bed. They obviously pick up surface dirt, but when I wash again it's clear they haven't removed all the nasty stuff.
