They work but get hot.
I use this to boost the performance of my eGPU on my Macbook Pro. I think there is a bug in Mac OS that makes the eGPU run faster when multiple monitors are connected and from my testing this seems to be true. It works great to improve my graphics card performance. It's getting warmer, but not dangerous. It's a little annoying that Mac OS sometimes opens windows on this fake monitor and I have no way to access it without disabling this key, but until there's a better solution I'll keep using this.
