I tried getting rid of the lint anyway and it helped. But even after the second wash, they were still bleeding. I recommend choosing white towels to avoid this problem. The benefit of these camp towels is the price, they are more disposable so good for tough jobs like removing oil and dirt. If I could choose again, I would choose white. Terry towels on top. This is because they are better for storing towels, have less lint, do not fade, and are machine washable.
