Review on πŸ’» Samsung Galaxy S8 SM-G950 Unlocked 64GB US Version Midnight Black with US Warranty by Agata Jurkiewicz ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best thing I've ever used, a great item for everyone!

After a phone call, the device enters silent mode, and only a safe start followed by another reboot resolves the issue, which prompted me to update the review; support said that this was due to the effect of newly installed applications, but I was unable to determine which ones were to blame. Well-known AKG earphones are identical to the $300 earbuds, save for a cloth-wrapped cord that prevents snagging. Despite the long list of drawbacks, of which I am only particularly aware of the issues with fingerprint and face unlocking and unlocking the screen during a call, I am generally very satisfied with the phone, I am completely satisfied with the combination of factors, and I purchased it in September 2022 for the sum of 38 thousand. I switched from an iPhone 5S that I'd been using for four years since the screen and camera were so much better than those of my old Samsung phone, which I didn't particularly like. If you can live without a high-quality camera, a cheaper alternative would be a phone from China; in most cases, it would perform just as well as this one, if not better.

Pros
  • It's a shame that, despite its attractive design and high-quality construction, the book must remain concealed. In contrast to earlier models, I appreciate that Samsung is not printed just above the display. Display is crisp, colorful, and high-resolution. I've been using this phone for over six months, and I still find myself captivated by its display. I particularly enjoy watching nature videos in 2K resolution, and I find it extremely useful to be able to watch movies and TV shows on the go. Even on a bright day, the screen is readable, but I think it could use to have a lower minimum brightness. High-quality oleophobic coating makes the display highly scratch-proof. The phone's dimensions are ideal for meβ€”they'll fit in any pocket and feel great in your hand. However, you may find it difficult to tie your shoes if you keep your phone in your jacket pocket. Every time I use it, the main camera is a delight. As a nature and landscape photographer, I can confidently say that this phone's camera excels at every challenge I've thrown at it. It captures vibrant colors during the day and at night, and even makes it possible to read the slides from Kamchatka's lectures. I was able to shoot video while riding a snowmobile at 50 kilometers per hour with complete satisfaction since the stabilization did such a good job of keeping the camera from jiggling around. I can get a full day's worth of use out of the battery, and it doesn't lose its charge rapidly or at all in low temperatures. We find this function particularly useful while cooking with a female companion, as we can simultaneously stream audio to two devices, each of which has its own volume knob. I appreciate how you can split the screen in two for multitasking, it comes in handy while I'm viewing videos on YouTube.
Cons
  • The fingerprint reader is slow, refuses to read wet fingers, is located in an inconvenient place, and the camera lens frequently becomes dirty, despite the fact that the finger must be positioned precisely on the reader for speedy (no) fingerprint readability. The phone's screen is frequently unlocked mid-conversation, requiring the user to set the device down and then return it to their ear to lock it. In comparison to the Pocophone F1, the face recognition sensor is painfully sluggish and completely useless in low light. The charging port is not as accessible as those on other phones; the cable is not inserted naturally, so I have to feel about in the dark to find it. The Bixby app is completely pointless, and its button is in an awkward place. The inability to disable it or attach another program to it without the use of third-party applications causes me to frequently mistake it for the volume down button. Weak volume from the portable speaker. My phone's primary camera lens was placed incorrectly, making photos look skewed (it does not affect the shooting). Sometimes when you double-click the lock button on the screen to rapidly launch the camera, a window appears on top of the camera with a prideful inscription reading, "I just used the quick launch," making it very difficult for instant shooting. I had to cut the case since the corners kept getting pushed out by the protective glass, but it's been six months and there's been no damage to the screen. You can see the dark space between the screen and the upper edge of the body where the front camera is located. When trying to adjust the volume while the phone is resting vertically on its side, or when the lock button is accidentally touched when my finger is on the opposite side of the device, I wish it were located on the top.
