Review on 🌬️ Frost King HD11 Adjustable Baseboard Air Deflector - Expands 15-25 inches - Clear Plastic by Michael Godo

Purchased September 2015. Fits most vent caps. If the magnets don't stick, your vent cover is either plastic or a non-magnetic metal like aluminum. In my case I have plastic lids but I found a pretty easy workaround. I bought some repair steel plates from Home Depot for about $2 and attached them to the ceiling with a vent cap. It was important that the plates were made of steel, otherwise the magnets would not stick. With repair plates, the magnets had something to hold on to. See my photos provided. With such a simple setup, my deflector never fell off! I can't speak to the deflector melting as I live in a relatively warm climate (Houston, Texas) and have never set the heater above 72F.
