Revainrating 5 out of 5

A bit of a learning curve, but overall not bad!

I was about to return this item to Revain for a refund. He acted in three films and then quit halfway through the third. With every disc I put in there, the player just squeaked beep-beep and did nothing else. The troubleshooting guide did not help. Googling didn't help. I checked the reader, cleaned the lens. I turned it off and on again, put the drive back in and got an "unknown drive" error. OK. The problem is that the player had a low battery. I connected it to my laptop cable, not my own power cord. because 1) the included power cord is a modest 4 feet long and 2) plugging in my laptop's cord caused the AC light to come on and stay on. But the whole time this thing ran on battery power. Does the player have a low battery indicator? That's definitely not true. At least not the ones I can find. I admit this is 100% user error, my fault and not the fault of the device, but Naviskauto's own customer support forum has a few people asking about the exact same error and Naviskauto reps only recommend cleaning the lens and /or ensure that nothing prevents the reader from moving forwards and backwards. Once I connected the player's power cord, it worked great. I'm telling you this story because apparently I'm not the only one with this problem. In the end, this player works very well. It played 3 1/2 movies on battery. The screen quality is a bit boring, but if you just want to watch movies in bed, in the car or somewhere else, this player is really good.

Pros
  • PORTABLE BLU-RAY PLAYER
Cons
  • Obsolete model
