Review on HANAJIRUSHI Cleansing Moisture Makeup Remover by Kelly Pierce

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good product but not double the price.

I use micellar water every day, not normally as a make-up remover but to refresh myself in the morning and remove oil from my face before I put on my make-up. For the purposes of this review, I used this product as both a pre-makeup refresher and a make-up remover. For a fair comparison, I used this product on one side of my face and my regular drugstore brand with a pink cap on the other side. with Hanajirushi and one with my usual brand. My skin felt the same on both sides after use and the products were the same on my fingers. The hanajirushi had a strange smell, a bit like plasticine. But it wasn't a strong smell, I didn't find it unpleasant. My usual brand is supposed to smell like rosewater, but I can't smell anything, so maybe it's just me. I work from home now so I didn't do a full face makeup, just eye makeup and a cotton pad of any brand did the job, which takes the same amount of time and effort to do it on to remove at the end of the day. Hanajirushi comes in a 12 ounce bottle, my usual brand is 13.5 ounces. When I checked the prices, Hanajirushi is twice as expensive with basically the same result. The ingredients vary, so it may be something to look out for when deciding what's best for you. The Hanajirushi hat is a tighter fit than my current brand. So if I had to throw them in my suitcase, this would be my choice.
