I'd just done a big chop in February and was still learning how to manage my natural hair with a newly discovered hair salon near me when our governor issued a stay at home order for COVID-19 response. I needed a protective style that I could put into place, but couldn't go anywhere to get it done. Cue a montage of YouTube tutorials, one of which mentioned ordering hair from revain. So, with great hesitation, I ordered this pack--I figured I'd try it and try the one with ombre ends so that if I hate it or screw it up, the cost was low and almost no one would see. It came with 8 packs of hair.I LOVE IT--I used a little more than 4 packs the first time I did the braids on myself and they lasted about 5 weeks (with knotless and a baby who loves to pull on them, I didn't think they'd last that long). After another month, though, I wanted to give it another go and wanted to see if I could use up the rest of it. The second time, I got fancy and did slightly larger triangular sections; I still finished with about 1/4 of the last pack leftover.There has been no itching, no issues with it tangling, and the ombre is just subtle enough for me to still feel really professional in Zoom meetings. I will definitely be doing this in the future to save money and continue protecting all of my new growth!
