Once attached to the grip it stays in place. It sits firmly on the handlebars and offers some cushioning. It's been over 400 miles on my eahora eBike so far and I haven't had to tighten or readjust it. Yes, without a phone in the holder it rattles, but you just have to close it so it doesn't come loose and it doesn't happen suddenly, it takes time, and you just have to turn it a few times so it doesn't fall out. I wanted the gold color version but they only had the silver one. Only 4 stars because I didn't get the color I wanted and had to think outside the box to attach it to the handlebars with a piece of vinyl tubing.
