Works right out of the box. The app was intuitive and easy to use. The double sided tape that came with the sensor worked well and I used it to attach the sensor to the door frame. The sensor plugged in and initially worked very well. After a few days the sensor stopped responding and had to be reset and added to the app again. The battery level showed 98% every time the device crashed. I deleted the app and re-downloaded it to try again. I ran this process 5 times with the same result - the sensor stopped responding after a few days. I have several smart plugs, lamps and other devices on this network that work without any problems. Return for replacement. Hopefully the next sensor will work better.
