years for my Harleys so that should say something about how I think it works. It really deflects the wind blowing up through the forks and over the tank, especially nice when the temperature drops a lot. Harley put them on their touring bikes a few years ago but then stopped. I was told at a dealership that Harley stopped wearing them because they "could lift the front of the bike off the ground". For real?! I've had 90+ mph bikes with this deflector and not once did the front end feel light or feel like the front end had ever lifted off the ground. I don't think my Harley could fly fast enough to get airborne because of that deflector, but I had to laugh at his comment.
