These are mittens but they end at the cuff and when your thumbs just get caught on it it looks like they aren't attached. It's hard to find a basic mitten that's light enough for most winter runs. After trying them on, we bought a quarter of good fleece at a fabric store, circled an old mitten, and made two pairs. Much better, in every imaginable color and style (and much cheaper). Borrowed a sewing machine from the library. Anyone can do this; surprise yourself
