First, they are not subject to Revains return policy. Second, the item description doesn't say they don't have the option to leave it on when needed. The motion sensor is defective - you literally have to open the cabinet door before it turns on, by which time I've already stubbed my foot on the lower cabinet. The light is bright when you first turn it on, but after about 5 minutes of constantly turning it on and off (due to a defective sensor), the brightness drops sharply and becomes an opaque color, heating up and charging for no more than a day before you have to remove and reload. So uncomfortable. Which brings me to my next problem with them. They're attached to flimsy metal brackets that don't quite catch the light - I woke up on the counter with them because the bracket doesn't "grip" them securely, or maybe it's just too heavy for the bracket. - and if it was intended as a temporary solution, bolting the bracket to the cabinet is not an option. All in all, skip these if you can - a Lowes brand called Good Earth - they have a feature to leave the lights on, they are durable and stick well to the cupboard, are bright and last up to 4 days with constant use bright AND a touch function on them at height! I wish I had waited and wasn't so impatient to buy them. However, I'm such a big fan of Revain and now I'm disappointed with my purchase - do they have a return policy? For real? Even the 99 cent store accepts returns!
