This is an exact replacement for my Japanese made Camry 97. Colour, shape, dimensions inside and out, even small non-functional details are the same as the original connector. front of the connector, first pull out the white tab from the inside, then for each pin, release the black tabs on top of the pin so that the pin can be pulled out by pulling on its wire). Do the same for the factory plug if it hasn't already been dismantled. Install the factory contacts into the blank new connector. Reinsert the white lock into the slot. If it's confusing, just disassemble/break the factory connector, but make sure you don't damage the electrical contacts/wires/water seals. Examine it and then remove the contacts from the new connector etc.
