I bought these shoes because I had a pair of Olukai Nohea mesh slippers (no laces) and I liked them except they looked a little silly and I liked the look , Nohea Mocus is better . Since they're both part of the Nohea family, I assumed they'd be made from the same materials and perform the same, but the top Mokus mesh is much thicker (or has extra fabric attached to it) - up to to the point where I can hardly call them "mesh". And while this probably makes them more durable (and I know people have complained about their toes poking holes in the slip-on, although I've never had this problem), it unfortunately makes them unbreathable. And if you choose to wear them barefoot like me, remember that very soon after you put them on, your feet will feel muddy and sweaty. I still love the way they look and they're comfortable when you wear socks with them (and I love the heel) but I was hoping for a cooler summer shoe that you can wear barefoot and they aren't.
