The fabric is OK, not premium/soft (wouldn't really expect at this price) but not rough enough to bother your face when sleeping on it.I like the design of the zipper being on the face of the pillow, but 2 months into my purchase (only washed and dried 3x (cold, low heat tumble) since I had 2 to alternate) I noticed the seam of the zipper ribbon had come undone for about a 3-4" length on the face of the pillow. Yes, it's a cheap set of pillowcases and that can be resewn, but it's kind of a bummer that the seam split 2 months after buying it. I am told that I am a relatively immobile sleeper so I doubt this was caused by any movement.
