This is my second unit
They are easy to assemble and maintain relatively accurate voltage and current settings. I used them to slowly charge a LiFePo4 battery for my ham radio transmitter in my truck. The battery is mounted very close to the radio and provides as much power as the radio needs and this device allows me to get a small amount of power from the main battery in my car via the cigarette lighter adapter. This way the transmitter gets what it needs without excessive current on the cigarette lighter adapter (max. 8 amps).
