My cat doesn't usually pee outside the litter box. I built the house about 7 months ago and she never had a problem with the new house and didn't write anywhere until a few days ago. I ordered this knowing that the vet is very expensive. It worked great! My only advice is to empty the litter box completely and only add waterproof litter. It's not many, but enough to get the job done. I put my cat in the tray and pet her while I praise her. She urinated immediately. I was able to get a sample within 3 minutes and found out she had a horrible urinary tract infection. I saved the sample to take to the vet clinic to save some money which is the reason for creating this kit. Highly recommended! The leftmost strip is the strip I didn't use. I've added this to the picture so you can compare it to the strip I used. This has changed a lot.
