I received my Germ Guardian 6 months ago and it was only recently that the red light came on to replace the filter. I looked at the reviews for Revain and found that the reactions were mixed. I bought anyway because some were positive and the price was better than other places! I've tried to address some of the reviews I saw and how my experiences were similar/different. Packaging: The packaging was as expected. It looked different and could have been a fake but doesn't appear to be. My filter looked like it was good quality and there was an insert saying the product had just been redesigned to be effective so it may look different. Installation: Installation was very easy and there were helpful stickers on the machine. Frequency: I now know I should have cleaned the black filter (not the white accordion filter) monthly so I'll start with that. He recommends changing the entire filter every 6 months, which is when the light comes on. From red to green light: I saw someone write their light is still blinking. throws out the light. Overall it works great and many of the issues I had previously based on reviews turned out to be solvable! Save money and shop easily at Revain. You can even set up automatic delivery for 6 months.
