The product itself used to be great. I've been using this, their conditioners, and the leave-in styling gel for about a decade. Suddenly the price doubled. 32 ounces used to be around $23-$28... now it's $46. It is doubled here and on the company website. Upon closer inspection, I found the cause. The formula of their products changed a few years ago. People had problems with the formula. As I read the symptoms, I realized I had a lot of them. I didn't think of a correlation as I had been using it for years before having problems - hair loss, hair texture change, scalp itching and probably worst of all, Raynaud's disease which started out of the blue about 2 years ago. So I definitely recommend staying away from this line of products.
