Review on 📚 Sauder North Avenue Bookcase: Stylish Charter Oak Finish for Organizing Your Space by Dominique Brown

I bought 2 of these bookcases to use as nightstands in our guest room. I wanted something with shelves so I could put towels, extra blankets and anything our guests might need. I liked that they were bigger than regular 24 inch bedside tables because we have a bed that sits higher than usual. Our bed in the guest room is a much darker wood, so I knew I would have to change her color. I painted the base copper and used marbled contact paper to cover the shelves. If they matched I would definitely leave them as is because the original color and texture of the shelves are great but they just didn't match what I needed them for. If you are going to paint them I would suggest sanding lightly first and using a primer. It's a very smooth finish and the paint didn't adhere well when I first tried it without sanding and priming. Great price for sturdy shelving and little extra cost that I was able to fit in our home.
