This is the best shock absorber for GM 4WD! Will blow off the OEM ranchos that were on my 2014 GMC Sierra Z-71. Removing and removing the stock struts requires some mechanical skill, but if you've ever made a screwdriver and have the tools, you can get the job done as well. I also purchased the spring removal tool shown with these struts and used an air blast to slowly and evenly tighten the bolts. Watch the video on Y-Tube, take a piece of chalk and make some alignment lines on the old and new stands and snap a few shots before taking it apart. There is a grommet and cap INSIDE the old frame. Be sure to see it installed BEFORE it falls out of the old rack. The first page took a little over 2 hours, the second about an hour.
