I bought this to put behind my electric skillet which often splatters grease on my back apron and also when using my electric mixer for a very liquid product . Although it blocks splashes, it only blocks about 50% since it's only 9 inches tall. If you used it with a stovetop frying pan it would probably work better, but it did with my electric frying pan. It's not very efficient on 2+ inch feet. I've looked everywhere and haven't found a higher one. I will still be using it as it cuts the clutter by at least half. but now i need to get my rear splash and splash guard out lol
